Rigid Floors

The h-track black joiners for putting Legend floors are packaged inside a corrugated mailing tube in the inner side of the floor box. If you still can’t find them, reach out to the Legend Customer Care Team.

The factory mat doesn’t last. It tears, rips, succumbs to moisture easily, and is not reliable for everyday on the road. Watch this story of one Legend of the Road who had the factory mat, and quickly found himself looking for something better. He came across the Legend floor and loves it!

StabiliGrip is a heavy-duty rigid van floor, built to withstand heavy wear and tear. It’s very reliable for working on (anti-slip surface, flat), yet has a fine grip so you can still slide skids, carts, and other cargo on. It only loses about 20% of its grip when it gets wet, whereas other floors can lose up to 80%. This floor will stay with your van until you’re done with it.

EVOLVE is a lightweight floor specifically designed to reduce payload in electric vans by reducing the weight of StabiliGrip (and similar weighted birch coated plywood floors) by 53%. EVOLVE has a little bit more give, so it’s slightly less rigid. It comes with crash-tested no-drill fasteners so you can fasten the floor and shelves to the floor, and the floor holds the fasteners in.

While we can’t give a definitive number due to many varying factors that affect how much weight the cargo van floor can withstand, we can tell you that there are van fleets that currently use StabiliGrip which cart equipment on casters, and their specific equipment can weigh around 1 ton, others put a similar amount on pallets with success. The StabiliGrip floor is very heavy-duty, and known to be the strongest cargo van floor on the market.

There are a few reasons why your Legend van floor could be rattling or making noise on the road.

  1. Are the thresholds or sill plates installed correctly, or are there no d-rings installed? These are often what causes the floor to come loose and start rattling with movement.

  2. Due to the unevenness of factory floor ribs in vehicles, there are sometimes larger gaps between the bare metal and the Legend floor, which causes the floor to move and rattle. “Spacer Foam” is included with all floors that have the potential to rattle on the road. These bridge these large gaps underneath the floor. Head to our resources page to find instructions for where they should be installed.

Yes, you can use a silicone-based adhesive for your floor. However, for the best results and to ensure optimal performance and durability, we recommend using the glue provided by Legend. Our glue is specifically formulated to work with our flooring products, providing a secure and long-lasting bond.

We do not recommend putting any sort of anchoring system on our flooring. The L track system should be installed directly onto the van floor. If you have a special case, please contact Legend, and we can discuss a custom solution tailored to your needs.

Let the rubber mat sit for a while to allow it to flatten out.

The four sections are held together by H-track and adhesive provided with the kit. Ensure the adhesive is applied before installation to keep the sections securely in place.

The best floor option depends on the weight of the pallets. Stabiligrip is a good option for heavy loads. Additionally, you may consider ArmoMat and KK Plus for added durability and support.

Interior Liners

Absolutely! Upfitters all over install their preferred shelving once the Legend floor & walls are installed. Not only are they compatible to be drilled through to secure the shelving, it’s recommended, because it gives a backing to the shelves so that no cargo or tools fall into the metal cavities and are lost forever!

Short Answer: Roughly R7.5.

Insulated DuraTherm itself has about an R-Value of 4.5, not installed.

When installed, the gap between the wall and the factory metal van wall contributes a further R3 rating, due to the gap between the two creating a “barrier”, providing further insulation.

Our panels are custom made to fit each vehicle tightly and neatly.

There are no pre-cut holes in our ceiling liner to aid in VanFan installation. The reason for this is because of the variety of applications and installation situations. Because each upfit is custom, the vents will be installed in different places (ladder racks, shelving, etc.)

Yes, depending on the vehicle, we have ceiling insulation kits available for installation.

Contact us for more information as it depends on your van.

Yes, you can install an e-track system with our liners. Follow the manufacturer or supplier's recommendations for installation.

No. Do not use an impact drill to fasten the attachment screws. Screws must be hand-tightened to avoid any potential damage to the plastic shell of the fan.

Yes, you can! Legend liners and floors are moisture and mildew-resistant, meaning they won’t rot or break down like a factory mat or plywood will over time with moisture. The surfaces are very easy to clean - we recommend using a cloth and water. Hear this upfitter talk about washability of Legend products and watch this technician clean the walls and comment how nice they are to clean.

No, our van liners do not emit toxic gases. They are made from safe materials that ensure a healthy environment inside your van.

An install template is included on the packaging of the box to aid in measuring the size and location of holes. In addition, install guides for the VanFan can be found here.

Your VIN number can help. Either run it through a decoder or send it to us and we can help. If you can measure the height of the cargo area of the van, that can also help.

There is a 16mm foam gasket available for difficult roof ribs.

Yes, our products are designed to help maintain a comfortable temperature inside your van, keeping it decently cool or warm as needed.

Our liners are available in grey, white, and black. At this stage, we are not making custom colors.

The R-value of our liners is between 4 and 6, depending on the panel and its position on the vehicle.

The thickness of our Duratherm ceiling liners is 6mm.

Yes, we sell individual pieces. Please contact us for assistance.

Yes, we can provide quotes for individual sheets of Duratherm. Please contact us for more details.

No wiring is rerouted; everything remains inside the OEM harnesses. There may be partial cuts in some instances for the liners to accommodate the wiring.

Please contact customer care at Legend to arrange for a replacement.

Yes, our panels are pre-cut and customized to fit each brand, model, and application.

Yes, our honeycomb-structured liner provides durable protection for your van, ensuring it remains safeguarded against various impacts and wear.

Expansion and contraction refer to how materials respond to temperature changes. When heat increases, materials expand; when it decreases, they contract. In enclosed spaces like a van, heat can rise with nowhere to go, causing significant expansion

Yes, wall panels are essential as they protect the van from damage. When returning leased vehicles, this protection ensures you avoid paying for body damage. Additionally, for fleets that run their vehicles to the ground, wall panels provide critical durability and longevity.

Our liner kits have an R-value between 4 and 6, providing effective thermal management. Yes, additional insulation kits are available, and there are knockouts for factory lighting.

Yes, there is a difference. Econolite is 4mm thick, while Duratherm is 6mm thick.

Each product should include product images that show all the components. You can find these images in the product listings or on our website.

Refer to the install guides to ensure proper installation. Double-check that you have the correct sill kit for your vehicle and that the liners are installed correctly, as this can affect the sill installation.

SecuriLock

On your initial install, please allow approximately an hour per door (2 hours per van). However, we recently had a distributor install our locks for a large fleet with 160 vans, and once they were rolling they got it down to 20-30 minutes per door.

Check it out

Legend SecuriLocks are chemically treated (zinc nickel) to protect against extreme weather conditions. The dust cap, in turn, protects the lock from ice, salt, and other agents that can damage the operation of the lock. When washing the vehicles, do not shoot water directly into the cylinder.  For everything else, you will have no problems.

If you have your warranty card, you need to send a photo of the serial number on the warranty card, then new keys can immediately be made and sent for your SecuriLock Van Lock.

Included in the SecuriLock box are all the parts needed to install the locks, including the adhesive template to stick onto your vans, all the hardware to install the locks, as well as a tube of anti-corrosive paint to apply underneath the lock during installation, reducing rust and wear.

Not included: tools to install the SecuriLock.

The Slam Lock variant will automatically lock every time the door is slammed shut, requiring the key to be opened again. This is for high-security cargo and high-crime areas for vans that need to be locked every single time. It gives the driver peace of mind that every single time the door is closed, it’s locked.

The Dead Lock can do both. If you turn the key to the right, the lock with be disengaged and won’t lock until set back, so it doesn’t lock every time you slam the door. This version is designed for vehicles that must stay protected but are making a lot of stops in the day, such as last-mile delivery.

Watch Story

Puck locks are secured to the van using metal brackets from the inside of the van doors. These are easily cut through by any cutting device. Legend locks are bolted right to the van door body so there is zero access to get between the lock body and the metal van door.

Drivers also sometimes forget to put the puck back on the lock, and then lose the pucks. That becomes a large hassle for the fleet and fleet manager. The Legend SecuriLock Van Lock comes with 3 keys, all keyed alike, but unique to that specific lock set for maximum security.

As an end-user (Magnolia Plumbing) said, “The lock that I had was just a regular pad lock, well a hockey puck lock. They just sliced it and got right into the truck. We got these new Legend locks, everything has been good since then.” Another employee said “Puck locks are a joke, they shouldn’t even be selling them, we just stopped usting them”. Another commented “with these old locks (puck locks) they were just easy to get off… it probably took them less time to cut the locks than it did to move everything they took out of the van.”

To prevent road spray, salt, and debris from getting into the keyhole, causing potential damage to the lock mechanism.

The dust cap that comes with the SecuriLock is applied by a strong adhesive, though can fall off if the lock is not fully dry, and the dust cap isn’t let set to stick for several hours.

These dust caps are very important especially in areas with winter – more moisture & salt from the roads.

While we can key locks alike for your custom orders, there isn't a singular master key for all Securilocks.

Yes, we can provide locks that are keyed alike for your convenience.

VanFan

No. Thanks to the innovative push-pull technology, all air is filtered in, and out via the rooftop unit. There is no need for a floor drain making it ideal for easy installation - especially in EV’s.

As a general rule of thumb, yes, the VanFan does work with a majority of ladder racks. We cannot ensure universal compatibility only because of the varied design differences observed in ladder racks. For example, ladder racks that boast wind deflectors (which if our vent is underneath) will dramatically affect airflow to the vent.

For a standard van, we recommend two VanFan units located at the front right, and back left of the roof. This application optimizes air flow throughout the cargo space and takes full advantage of the vortex air circulation generated through push-pull technology.

You can install the VanFan with no electric module. However, to install the electric module add-on you must also have the VanFan base unit.

The VanFan push-pull technology applies to both units. The difference is the application. Our base VanFan unit requires the vehicle to be in motion in order for the forced air circulation to occur. Whereas, the VanFan Electric is able to operate even when the vehicle is stationary.

VanFan - Approximately 50mins

VanFan Electric - Depends on wiring. Will be comparable to base VanFan but depends heavily on installation specifications and wiring requirements - case by case.

If installing only one unit, the best location would be in the middle of the roof (or as close as possible).

If installing two, it is recommended to put them diagonally from each other, in opposite corners of the roof. Often the preferred location is the front right corner, and back left (20in off the partition).

Our vents fit between the ribs on Sprinters and Transits, but become narrow when dealing with new ProMaster models.

The VanFan does not come with a built-in filter. This means it is possible for dust to make it’s way into the cargo area of your van. However, the VanFan does come with the ability to close the unit off from the cargo space in the event of a storm.

There is a 16mm foam gasket available for difficult roof ribs.

Not currently. How the wiring is done is entirely up to the upfitter as per the customers needs. Some may opt to have the electric module hooked up to a sensor that detects temperature, RPM, or harmful gasses, so the VanFan will turn on situationally. Others may opt for different applications.

There are no pre-cut holes in our ceiling liner to aid in VanFan installation. The reason for this is because of the variety of applications and installation situations. Because each upfit is custom, the vents will be installed in different places (ladder racks, shelving, etc.)

No, do not use silicon to seal your VanFan. Silicon can cause serious problems! The foam gaskets provided are more than enough for the vent to be water tight. No additional sealant is necessary.

Yes, the base VanFan can be opened and closed, but the electric module add-on cannot.

Ceiling Lights

There isn’t a way to reduce the sensitivity of the Legend Ceiling Lights. However, putting a small piece of electrical tape over the area of the sensor that faces the seat will reduce its sensitivity.
